I worked as a contractor at Microsoft for a bit more than six years. I did proofreading, testing, textprep, content coordinating, editing, HTML stuff, and program management. And the job was only supposed to last three weeks!
I was a member of the Seattle Cacophony Society (and you may already be a member, too!) When people ask what Cacophony is, I usually say it's a group of people that get together to do fun things.
