The Thriftway Grocery a few blocks from me now lets you use your finger instead of an ATM card to pay for your food. You still need to type in your PIN and phone number, which seems to me to defeat the purpose! I'll probably stick to Safeway, since at least you get discounts as a card-carrying member.
