Even though it was long and the hour was late, I enjoyed Asoka the Great very much last night! It's a Bollywood epic about an early king in India. Great costumes, singing and dancing, shower scene, and emoting. The first half is better than the second, so you could sneak out early if you wanted. I think that martial arts and fight scenes just aren't a big priority in this type of films -- it wasn't very gory, and the swordplay was stylized and not very exciting. The film plays again June 11, 1pm, at the Cinerama.
