At Vanguard last weekend, I talked with my friend Kate about my wedding dress (which she'd kindly offered to make for me). She said the first step would be to make a dress form from paper tape! Paper-tape misadventures from Sew Wrong. Many tips and tricks for making a dress form using duct tape. I think the most traumatic part may be seeing myself standing there in 3-D, though I'm normally pretty good about positive body image stuff.
