At the Meetup the other night, I was teasing/bugging Clark "Misc" Humphrey about the annoying popup ads he's had on his site -- more than I've seen on any personal site. I asked how much he actually made from them (not much, I bet, since I remember the pitiful amounts we got at Stockcharts.com and that was two years ago!) and offered to pay twenty bucks if he'd get rid of them! He didn't answer directly, but did mutter something about taking it under advisement. Well, he still has a banner but the popups are gone! So I did pay up. Thanks, Clark!
Next step, getting him to ping weblogs.com!

I read Misc often and never noticed popups. Webwasher does a nice job of suppressing them with IE and it's free. The obnoxious NYTimes popups got me started using Webwasher.

Oh as a Mozilla user I do not under stand these "Pop Up windows" that you speak of. In Soviet Mozillia Window pops you up ha ha ha.
