I teamed up with my sister M---- today by her suggestion; she came over and worked with me in my place during the morning, then I went to her house and worked with her in the afternoon. We both got stuff done! Having someone else there keeps us on task. (See this article from Organized Home for confirmation.) Gone from my apartment: old artificial garland to Goodwill, trash, recycle. Plus my sister installed one of those rolling baskets in a lower kitchen cabinet, which I hadn't been able to do since moving back here! We also moved a large media center cabinet out into the hall so I could take a picture of it, to aid in its sale. Gone from her house: a large amount of fabric, clothes that need a new home, a broken window fan, and a lot of dust!
We both agreed that the experiment worked, and we'll repeat it soon.

My sister M---- and I were talking about a big project of rearranging her living room just before I left yesterday, and recalled that it had taken our other sister being there too to get the living room arranged the first time!

It's nice you live so close to each other, and can do things like that. My sister lives in Wisconsin and we only get to visit a couple of times a year. She's as allergic to housework as I am, so I doubt we'd get much done given the chance :)
