05/14/2003 Archived Entry: "Seablogs"

Michael Montoure has put together a handy Seattle Weblogs portal called Seablogs -- there's a list of Seattle weblogs, a map, a list of recently updated blogs, and a trackback feature that's, mirabile dictu, usable by non-Movable-Type weblogs! If you are MT-deprived like me, you can just use the handy form and your Seattle-related weblog post will be tracked back. Very handy for notices about group gatherings and such. If you have a Seattle-based weblog and it's not listed (and you want it to be), send email to Michael at montoure at bloodletters.com. Matthew Baldwin at Defective Yeti allows as how he'll probably be directing listeners to check out Seablogs on the radio tomorrow, so get yourself listed!

Just give in and move to Movable Type.

All the cool kids are doing it.

There's a standalone Trackback tool that can be used with non-MT CMS's, by the way.

Thanks for the link! I have a form up now, so people can add their weblogs directly to the database without having to mail me to do it:

Glad to hear you're digging the manual ping form. I had to get that working, since I don't have Movable Type running, either!
