11/04/2003 Archived Entry: "Bluejack and Bluejacking"
My friend Bluejack (aka Blunt Jackson) has got to be pissed about this new exploit that takes advantage of some vulnerabilities of Bluetooth phones. It's being called Bluejacking -- you can send text messages to other Bluetooth phone users and prank them, even if you don't know them. Blunt has been going by Bluejack online since 1998 or so!

nah, doesn't bother me too much. i was here before them, i'll be here after them. there've been other bluejacks in my time. a rock band. a font. some kind of european stock market scam. a fucking oak tree has tried to steal the name even. well, okay, i suppose the oak tree will outlast me. serves me right, picking something so common.
i think i've already outlasted the guy who installs kitchens and bathrooms in georgia who wanted the domain, though. i wouldn't sell, not even for a THOUSAND DOLLARS!!!
there was a website a while back that showed what domain names had recently sold for, and I was amused to see bluejack.com listed on it as having sold for 475,000 dollars. now that might have tempted me.
must have been some other bluejack.com. no. wait...

Pitty there is no copyright registration for personal nerd names. My friend KiwiBlog.com is having issues with other sites calling themselves "KiwiBlog". Ah well
