This week, it's the April Weblog Meetup! Once again we'll be at Uptown Espresso which is in Belltown not Uptown area, 2504 4th Ave, Seattle, on Wednesday, April 21 @ 7:00PM. They have wifi but you need to buy it, it seems. If you are coming straight from work you might want to bring some food as they only have a few cookies at the cafe. The Seattle weblog folks are a fun group and we have a good time, so please join us!
Meetup.com has added some new features to their service. For example, anyone can add a venue to the ballot, and the message boards are now specific to each group. You don't have to sign up to attend the meetup, but if you do you'll be able to vote on locations and get notified of any last-minute changes. Check it out!

The meetups are always the third Wednesday of the month. I'll probably post something about it ahead of time (I almost always do), but if you sign up at meetup.com (free) you can vote on location and get email reminders, etc.

Dangit... I had this on my calendar for *tomorrow* for some reason. Perhaps that's when the eastside one was going to be before it got canceled? Oh well, sorry I didn't make it this time!

Looks like they changed Wifi companies. Cometa made you buy ahead, but according to the hotspotzz website you can purchase on site.

Jake, I agree that lack of free wifi is not a deal-breaker for this location, but it would be nice to have.

Rather than paying for Wifi I just plan on stopping by a free hot spot and uploading my post from there before getting back to the ferry.

I'm debating coming, but I'll need to bring my 10 month old if I do, since his dad has a conflict that night. Is there smoking in the Uptown Espresso?
