07/07/2007 Entry: "No More Upside Down Show?"

Gah! I was trying to find out more about the Upside Down Show (Wikipedia page) and found out that Nickelodeon has declined a second season! It's a really funny kids show that stars an Australian comedy duo, The Umbilical Brothers (wikipedia page) David Collins and Shane Dundas. Both my grandson and I really enjoy the show. They combine slapstick, puppets, mime, sound effects, and more in a unique comedy blend. I guess we'll look for the DVDs from the Umbilical Brothers (but that material isn't particularly aimed at kids).

tht, I appreciate the thought but why post the entire content of the wikipedia entry? The web is all about the links.

I'd say this is a great show - 9.81 out of 10 in my opinion. It is as good as (and sometimes better than)Lazy Town - a cool show on Nick Junior about a superhero Sportacus and the tedious consequences of his arch nemesis, Robbie Rotten, A.K.A: The Master of Disguise. But anyway, the Upside Down Show had unforgettable humour.
A memorable quote:
David (after Shane emerges wearing a bucket on his head instead of a helmet): Buckit.
Shane: What did you call me?

I really liked the Upside Down Show! It truly is a shame that it has stopped being showed on TV, due to the fact that (surprisingly) it did not seem to do well in the market. I am afraid to say that,on Nick Junior (UK) it has been replaced by a very weird show called "Bubble and Squeak",which IS NOT FIT TO COMPETE with the Upside Down Show. But you cannot deny, there were only 13 episodes. But it was one of my favourite shows!
