Season of Mists

A new entrant to the Open Pages webring, Pauly's Scrawlings From the East, was inspired by me! I submitted the Book of Days URL to a page on microsoft.com that features websites that use CSS. When I was checking there recently to see what had been added, I noticed a page about words, called the Internet Buffet.
A few days ago when I was checking out the new journals, I followed a link from Paul's journal and found that I was back on the Internet Buffet site! I hadn't recognized that that site was also one of Paul's. He was kind enough to tell me that seeing my journal listed there gave him the idea. It's always interesting to see where journalers get the idea to start.

My stats show that a lot of people must be reading me at work. The graph dips on the weekends, and bounds back up on Mondays. As Scott Adams says, if I can help people be a little less productive during their cubicle time, then it's all been worthwhile.

I spent the evening over at my sister's house. My older nephew, six, is very much a Mariners fan (the local baseball team), and the playoffs started tonight. The reception on their TV wasn't good, and he voluntarily decided to turn it off and just listen to the game on the radio. I think this speaks well for his powers of concentration!

A note on this month's journal look: I used an image from Gordon's Rocks, and the font is Chelsea Studio from the Scriptorium, along with a few ornaments. These elements went into Image Composer. I wanted to try the background image with the right hand side dominant, because of the comments made when another journal was critiqued on a critique mailing list.
