Last ClassWhat is the student but a lover courting a fickle mistress who ever eludes his grasp? Wednesday, December 17, 1997 Lots of specs are being produced on our team, through a variety of methods. I'm trying to clean them up a bit during the process of posting them on the internal website. My HTML snobbery is coming through in the process. I also think it helps the comprehensibility of these rather technical documents if there is a recognizable heirarchy of heading levels, if the formatting is consistent, if the contact information is there. Wally Glenn posted his in-Santa-cide experiences. He wants to do something similar in Seattle! It will be interesting to see if we pull it off. You need a critical mass of people to make an impact, and this is rather a last-minute thing.
I pointed Dave Winer at Windows95.com for Frontier5. This is a great resource for Win95 (and NT!) shareware and freeware. I check the "newest software" page every day! But I don't know where Frontier should be listed. What category would it go in?
Tonight was the last night of my current series of swing dance classes at the Century Ballroom. I'm glad I convinced Jon to join me there; it's been fun! He is proposing to take some classes at a place nearer to our work, for the January timeframe. I may join him there! The swing stuff has been great, but the Lindy hop has been "challenging," as they say! It's a complicated dance, and it's tough to keep my concentration. Each sequence goes right from the next, with no pauses or time to think. I did make progress, and I'd like to keep it up. If the Eastside classes are on Wednesdays, maybe I'll take lessons from the Savoy swing club on Tuesdays.
