Be sure to read about my journal anniversary on Friday, and the prize I won on Saturday!

I worked this morning on cleaning up the kitchen. I succeeded at getting the trash out. I was putting some bottles of soda in the fridge (weird ones bought when a friend was trying to give up caffeine) when I dropped one. It broke! Sticky soda and broken glass, both inside and outside the refrigerator. Yuck!

This was the first time this year that Hep Jen (one of my dance teachers) organized a Dance Jam. This time it was at Gasworks Park, where we've had a number of Cacophony dance events. We were on the terrace by the water. It was rather chilly and windy, but I wasn't cold once I started dancing. I'd say there were about fifteen people. I didn't know before that it was events like this that got Jen her start at DJ'ing at clubs. She's one who makes things happen!

From there I went and grabbed some dinner at Ivar's fish bar. I love the fried oysters there! Hyper Dan told me about six people followed my example a little later, but I was already gone by the time they arrived. I drove downtown and made my way to the Showbox, for more dancing!

Hoo boy, my legs are tired! I had a blast, dancing with my regular partners and a few new ones. Dan brought a few CDs for DJ Hubba Hubba, with annotations about which songs are especially good for us lindy dancers, and why. We hope this will help the DJ "get" us, so he'll play songs that are more to our taste.

I was laughing out loud tonight! Shellyness was so funny, talking about an old acquaintance who used to bore her stiff by telling her dreams in great detail. I loved the baby vampire. No wonder she bit the back of peoples' knees; she was crawling on the floor!
