One year ago: Family Spirit
Sunday has public art, Cacophony, and a birthday party! Pictures, too! Hey, maybe I am a party girl after all!
I'm a role model! I'm glad that Ray German thinks of me that way, and not just as the Net Nag or Satan. I've given him plenty of unsolicited advice, and not just about his journal but about his life, too! I'm glad he takes it in a good way. The ironic part is that when I was his age, I'm sure I'd have been sitting in a corner in the back of class, all quiet and shy! It took years to get to my present boldness.
I posted the links for Friday and Saturday's entries to the swing-seattle-chat mailing list, and got some private responses. There wasn't any public discussion of Saturday's little contretemps, which doesn't surprise me. It was trivial, really, and didn't deserve a big public debate.
I spent most of this evening making thumbnail images and compressing the full-size ones, for yesterday's Cacophony event and Joe Ross's birthday party last night. I also got the chance to chat on the phone with my sister M----. She is taking her boys on a camping trip tomorrow, off to Mt. Rainier for two nights. My other sister was supposed to be visiting us this week, but plans changed and it didn't happen, darn it!
Mr. Heinovision called me several times over the weekend, but I was out each time! He wasn't able to leave a number where I could return his call. We hadn't made a plan on when to meet, and he's such a volatile chap that I figured the best thing was for me to proceed as normal, rather than wait to hear from him. Bummer! Alan, if you are still in town, do try again, or catch me at Gasworks Tuesday evening, or call me at Microsoft!
