Disoriented

I have had a dream past the wit of man to say what dream it was.

Don't miss the weekend entries! Saturday I avoided buying stuff and attended a party, and Sunday I went to see "A Bug's Life" and took an unexpected drive.

I decided not to go to the book club meeting tonight. I wanted to get caught up here; I hadn't read the book. I was stymied (good word!) at work for a while, due to email server problems. So much depends on the prompt delivery of email, in terms of getting anything accomplished!

I came home and napped for a while, one of those disorienting late afternoon naps. It would be so cool to have a dream recorder! They are so intense while one is dreaming, then they dissolve like ocean foam so quickly!

My friend Jason has updated his rants. Regular updates are what get readers, so I hope he won't have too many three-week gaps!

Wally Glenn is still among the missing, after doing all the scorekeeping at the Seattle Comedy Competition. I hope he enjoys it! I'd rather read about his own doings than the reportage on the comedians, especially because he doesn't do much quoting from their acts or detailed descriptions of them, so it isn't that funny.

Again the topic comes up (it recurs periodically on diary-l and the journals mailing list): How many journals do folks read? What if someone reads you and you don't read them? Should you feel guilty? Should you feel guilty for devoting too much time to journal reading? I've added a few new-to-me journal to my bookmarks. Actually they are favorites because I use IE, but that sounds so positive. Even among my favorites there are favorites.

I don't have a problem with the time I spend reading journals. I enjoy it, or I wouldn't do it! I'm also don't have artistic goals that I feel guilty for neglecting, so I don't have that pressure on me.

New to me is Carlos' "My Sanctuary." But he's been writing for several months, so I get the fun of working my way through his archives! He's a drummer with Big Time Operator, a San Diego-based swing band. He thinks seriously about musical topics, which interests me.
