Sage Derby

God defend me from that Welsh fairy,
Lest he transform me to a piece of cheese!

One year ago: Dance Struggle

Last year I was talking about my difficulties in dance class. At that time I was pushing the edge of my abilities! Now I'm comfortable with following in lindy hop and East Coast Swing. It's learning to lead that is challenging me.

Jon Newman, a year ago, was doing written notes on what we covered in class, and requesting my feedback. I've since seen other software-oriented guys learning to dance and doing the same thing! Jon dropped by the Russian Center tonight, after his class with the Savoy Swing Club.

A year ago I was talking about the newsgroups on sff.net. I'll be posting there even more now, since Jack has his own newsgroup there.

I had a fun time dancing tonight, but I left a bit earlier than I might have otherwise. This was because I hadn't eaten before dance class, which starts at six fifteen. During the second hour, I'd been looking forward to eating the Essential Sandwich that I'd bought at lunchtime. But I'd forgotten, and left the bag containing the food at home! So I danced for about an hour more (Earl had his video camera; he's making a tape of his dancing to send to his family and I partnered him for one dance.) then walked home, stopping off at the grocery store.

Have you ever had Sage Darby cheese? I found that they had this delicious kind of cheese, which I had at my friend Wally's wine and cheese party last winter. It's green, from the sage herbs. So I'm snacking on that, spread on wheat thins.
