When I got to work this morning, I tested this month's design in Nav 3 and Nav 4. (I keep copies of both on my test machine.) I was able to tweak it so it's ok in IE4, IE5, and Nav 4, but Nav3 isn't great. I don't know why having a CSS class on the paragraphs would affect it, since Nav 3 doesn't understand CSS.
In the dance class I'm taking with the Savoy Swing club, they organize it so there's a little soapbox section where one of the teachers educates us on a dance-related topic. I felt like the topic tonight really might have been aimed at me, but I hope it wasn't! Winn talked about how you shouldn't criticize your dance partners, certainly never on the dance floor, and only in certain circumstances in a classroom setting. In class, if it seems like your partner isn't getting the step, he recommends that you raise your hand and ask for clarification or extra help from the instructor, putting the blame on yourself.
Well, the steps we are learning are really ones that I already know how to do, so I'm not having a problem with them. So it's a grave temptation to give excessive feedback to the guys that are just learning these moves. They are mostly just beyond the beginning stage. So helping them learn, while not getting in their way, is probably the most important lesson I'll be learning in this class!
I had a good time at the Washington Dance Club tonight. The crowd there is growing slowly, and the dancers that do show up are mostly the ones I would want to be there!
