Limo Van

Give us the luxuries of life, and we will dispense with its necessaries.

One year ago: Olympia Evening
Two years ago: Creation

A year ago, Jack and I were in Olympia, and there was trouble with his daughter. This was only a harbinger of things to come! Two years ago, I was into XML and creativity.

My sister B--- writes, describing her family's journey to Geneva, Switzerland:

"At 2:00 a Limo Van showed up to drive us to JFK airport. We almost didn't all fit. Dog, 2 boys, 12 pieces of luggage. The van had a VCR and TV inside so we stopped at the Video store and purchased a video - Wild, Wild, West. Was ok .... Got to JFK around 4:00 and a bell hop helped us with our luggage. Just walked the dog on into the airport. The airport people were great! After everything was checked in we still had about an hour before the dog needed to get loaded so they told us to go walk around the airport with CJ. We went down and got Pizza at the airport food court. Only one person made a comment about the dog. When we went back to load CJ, he almost jumped into the crate. I think he was happy for the comfort of something familiar to him. We left JFK at 7:30 PM and arrived 9:00 AM Geneva time (elapsed time - about 8 hours)."

I hadn't imagined that they'd catch a flight from JFK airport, when leaving from Delaware. The limo van was a good idea. I think she should do a website with her adventures in this move and new home! Her letters are good, so far. She sent me a few links about Geneva, including this site promoting Geneva tourism.

The Limo Van is an interesting concept, but I'll bet the one they had was just like a regular van. I remember seeing one in a car magazine about fancy van conversions -- it had special seating, the requisite mini-fridge and other luxury features. I think such a vehicle would be fun to party around in with a driver, and it would be easier to park and get in and out of than a stretch limo, wouldn't it?
