One year ago: Movie Catch-up
Two years ago: Sociability
Chip turned over his old palm to me today, since he felt the need to buy an new one, with the color screen. It's true that the color screen will demo better at the Money Show, when he shows off our handheld version of StockCharts.com. So I spent some time today hooking up the cradle to my PC, and trying to get the hotsync going. I got frustrated when I couldn't get the username changed over to me, but I did manage to change the password on the palm side of the equation.
I spent an hour today, working on the company names table in our database. It's dry and tedious, but it needs to be done. At this rate of progress, I'll be doing it for the next month! I'm scrubbing the names -- some of them are in all-caps, or have weird abreviations, and we'll be using them more when our new features come on line.

Traffic was bad when it was time to go, so I went to see a movie. For once, I decided at a good time! and not exactly in between showtimes. I also remembered to bring the coupon I got at Sweets Factory recently, so I got a 25 percent discount there.
Out of the available films, I picked Where the Money Is. I hadn't heard much about it, but someone spoke favorably about Paul Newman in it, and I alway like Linda Fiorentino.
She's a nurse, and he's an old con sent to the nursing home from prison. Sounds heartwarming, yes? Actually it's amusing and acerbic. Dermot Mulroney had a thankless role as the husband. Paul Newman was great! I love his gravely voice now.
The plot is slight, but amusing and a bit unusual. I recommend it!
