The Lady
Pure Spirit, one hundred degrees proof -- that's a drink that only the most hardened contemplation-guzzlers indulge in. Bodhisattvas dilute their Nirvana with equal parts of love and work.

We had a meeting at work, where we went all over the details and "takeaways" from the Money Show. It was worth doing, certainly! I laughed when Chip got an email from someone whose boss had picked up one of our web cards. He pumped his arm and shouted "yes!" because it's a contact that might be very valuble for us.
I have to get over this foolish irritation about the editing thing.
- Just One Time
(IMDB page for this movie) This American movie was bland and by the numbers, I think. (Or am I just jaded?) A young man about to be married keeps begging his fiance to fulfill his fantasy: her in bed with another woman (and him there, also, of course). She finally agrees, with the condition that he fulfill her fantasy first -- him making it with another man. The leads here weren't that appealing to me, but I liked Vincent, the young gay neighbor, and the male lead's firefighter friends. Worth a look (especially on video).
- The Lady
I liked this Iranian movie. Apparently it's been held from release for a year or so, though I didn't see what would be controversial about it. After her husband leaves, a wealthy woman who has been retreating to meditation and philosophy takes in a poor neighbor couple. But then their relatives start arriving and moving in. Not farcical, though this synopsis sounds like it would be. The lead actress was superb! Beautiful in an unusual way. The setting (large mansion, wintry weather) was eerie, and the characters certainly weren't familiar stereotypes to me.
