TempuraOne cannot think well, love well, sleep well, if one has not dined well. Monday, August 14, 2000 Also posted tonight, yesterday's entry. Don't miss it! Another beautiful Seattle summer day! It's been very pleasant for the most part, all summer. This is Seattle's big secret - it's rainy but mostly mild in the winter, and the summer is warm and bright, but usually not too hot. It's been quiet at work. I worked on new blurbs for some of our education center articles. When we'd created the template for that section, we'd put in something generic, but now I want to change them to something more useful. The blurb field in our source files is used in a Meta description tag in the final html files.
I found a new teriyaki place in my neighborhood! Very clean and pleasant looking place. The combo I ordered, in addition to the normal chicken, rice, and some lettuce, also had thin rice noodles with sesame seeds and dried mushrooms, and some tempura vegetables! I don't know if the tempura was just a bonus because they've just opened, or if that was a regular part of the particular dish I chose. I have the Democratic convention on the radio (NPR), while I'm sitting here at the computer. I'll admit that I'm not paying much attention. Since I'm on the west coast, it's over relatively early in the evening. I actually watched it on tv when Clinton was nominated, and got excited about it! Two years ago, I had a shocking bruise on the back of my hand, from some over-enthusiastic dance partner. |
