This is a fault common to all singers, that among their friends they will never sing when they are asked; unasked, they will never desist. |

One year ago: A Short Hike
Two years ago: Jack and Vanguard
Three years ago: Career Girls
Two years ago, Jack and I spent the weekend together for the first time. It was my idea (shocking boldness on my part), but Jack went along with it.
I drove my new car to work for the first time today. I applauded my own stick-to-it-iveness; I had to call several places to find one that could do some tests on the car right away (and speaking to strangers on the phone is what I particularly dislike). Jack advised me that this should be done right away, so that if there were any really bad news about the car I could get out of the deal via the lemon laws.
I asked Pete to follow me over to FAME Automotive, and give me a ride home. I'm sure he thought he was done with that! But they wanted to keep the car overnight, since it was late in the day when I got it there. I'd been recommended to this place by another in the same auto development.

Someone on a fannish mailing list has decided to just start emailing PDF files to everyone in zir address book. It's not that getting such large attachments is a problem for me (though it is for others) -- it's just surprising! Usually one would post a PDF file on a server, then notify folks that it's available. If not that, then ask people to write you and request a copy. Instead, this is an opt-out deal; you have to write the person and ask that they take you off the list. That's a different thing. In a business venture, I'd call it spam! But in this case, it's more like "fram".
