Evil being the root of mystery, pain is the root of knowledge. |

One year ago: Larabee State Park
Two years ago: Liralen and TAFF
Three years ago: Dancing Begets Warmth
Don't miss the first in this batch -- I heard a good band, then had trouble getting home!
It's the third anniversary of the first time I came to the Century Ballroom. Dancing is still a big thing for me -- it's got so many layers that one doesn't get tired of it. Thanks, Hallie!

Chip came into work this morning and saw he had voice mail. He was unhappy on hearing the message -- the new hire from yesterday has decided to take another job, so we are back at square one, darn it!
I brought some grape tomatoes to work today, that I bought at Costco on Sunday. I don't know why they are called "grape" tomatoes, except to differentiate them from cherry tomatoes. They've got a good tangy flavor -- I ate a bowlful with a nice vinaigrette dressing.
Traffic was bad already when I wanted to leave work, as always when the Mariners are playing a home game. I decided to go to Redmond Town Center and see a movie. I was surprised to find the candy store closed -- did someone miss a shift? So I substituted a "bull chip" cookie.

The Cell was gorgeous looking. Jennifer Lopez wasn't given much of a part. The black woman scientist had a familiar face. I looked her up and realized I knew her from Secrets and Lies. There was too much trite dialog -- "You're taking a big risk!" and so on.
I don't know about taking SM imagery and associating it with insanity -- this seems unfair. The special bug for schizo problems is totally bogus. That rocked my suspension of disbelief more than the mind reading and virtual reality tech.
I didn't recognize Vincent D'onofrio at all! He resembled John Malkovitch more than anyone. The film kept my attention more than I expected, considering that people being tortured and begging for their lives is something that usually squicks me in movies.

It was only seven o'clock when I left the movie, so I walked over to Bed Bath and Beyond and toured the store. There were no good buys on sheets to tempt me, though. I finally bought a car scent thing that plugs into the cigarette lighter, and some Claire Burke Applejack and Peel stuff (because it included some scented oil and I knew I liked it). I couldn't wait to try out my new gadget, even though I knew I had scents at home.
