Above BackgroundLearning is, in too many cases, but a foil to common sense; a substitute for true knowledge. Tuesday, November 21, 2000 My entry from two years ago regularly gets traffic over background levels. It turns up in search engines when someone is searching for the Rhumba Bums. I don't know if any of those hits turn into regular readers, though! This afternoon I showed Chip the limited progress I'm making in using XML and XSLT to produce our web pages. I have figured out some things, but for others I need to go back and start again. I do want to master this! But the document function is messing with my head. There was a gorgeous sunset as I was driving home. This shows how short the days are getting, since it was well before five o'clock when the sky was shading from orange to purple. I need to get things ready -- Jack will spend the night tomorrow, on his way to spend Thanksgiving with his folks. It will be so good to see him, even if briefly. Sheets, juice, coffee, something for dinner.
