Packed Up

It is truly said: It does not take much strength to do things, but it requires great strength to decide what to do.

I lollygagged around this morning, then drove out to my former place of work. I got there just as Chip was leaving to take his son to school (some car problem had made this necessary), but he said that Pete or Bob would help with any carrying of heavy items that I needed to do.

Not having enough boxes had limited the packing I could do yesterday, but today I brought a few from home. I packed my food out of the cupboards and freezer, all my CDs and the curvy CD racks, and my computer. I did need help loading the monitor into the car. I decided to take Chip up on his offer for me to take the TV -- it's a nice Sony. It's so big that I needed help with that also!

I gave Kellie a hug, and shook hands with Pete and Bob. I'll miss being there! It's remotely possible that I could come back, if the situation changes there, but I don't count on it.

On my way back home, I checked out the new Tuesday Morning store again. When I'd found them last week, it must have been the first day it was open -- no wonder it had been packed! This time I had time to really study what they have right now, and buy a few things: another set of sheets, some ceramic sachet balls, and a candle (of course!).

It might seem that I'm spending too much for an unemployed person, but it really hasn't added up to any great sum.

My next goal is to get all this stuff out of my car and into my apartment. But the heavy items might prove difficult, unless I flag down random strangers on the street.
