I got up in time to get to my dance workshop, leaving Jack and his daughters snoozing away in my apartment. I left my keys on the stove, with a note for Jack right next to the coffee maker. I thought he might need them in the process of getting all his stuff packed up, and I asked him to bring them to me at the Oddfellows Hall in Ballard.
D'oh! He never saw the note, so he just left my apartment door open. It worked out ok, since I asked a neighbor to buzz me in, but I was a bit distracted looking for him all day.

This workshop was sponsored by the Savoy Swing Club, and Eddie Jansson and Eva Lagerquist, members of the Rhythm Hot Shots from Sweden, were the instructors.
I did indeed have a bid of difficulty at the first session on Saturday, but the balance worked out such that I was able to participate.
Eddie and Eva worked us on some movement excercises, jazz routines, and lindy routines. The movement exercises were great -- we moved across the floor in ways that reminded us of the basics of the dance. I worked hard on the jazz routines, but I accept that complicated footwork combos aren't the easiest thing for me. I do the best I can and move on (and try not to get in anyone else's way).
The lindy routines were useful, and almost all leadable. I don't take notes on stuff like that, though. Some folks video themselves doing a particular combination, or write it down.
By the end of the day today, I was tired but happy.
