I got all the laundry done! Huzzah! It wasn't so much, only two loads of white, two loads of dark, and two loads of colorful stuff. It just annoys me how many times I have to deal with it: take it down stairs. Are the washing machines in use? come back later. start the load. set my kitchen timer for 25 minutes so I don't forget. The buzz of the timer is jarring -- maybe I should find a nice soothing bird-chirp electronic thing, instead of using
the timer on the stove. Transfer to dryer (unless someone else is using it, how dare they!), start next loads. Repeat until done, dropping whatever you are doing every twenty five minutes.
I'm pretty good about getting things folded and put away. it
helps that I've sent half of my tshirts on hiatus (in plastic boxes under my bed) so there is pretty much room for everything.
I decided to go through my linen closet, see what's there, and sort it out. I cleared out one shelf of old odds and ends that have been sitting there for ten years, so now I have room for towels on one shelf, queen size sheets on another, and twin size (for the air mattress) on the top shelf. I probably should just ditch the paint and painting supplies that are now consolidated on the bottom shelf, but I couldn't bring myself to it. Baby steps!
