Open House

For the happiest life, days should be rigorously planned, nights left open to chance.

One year ago: Back on Track
Two years ago: Dance Controversy
Three years ago: Indigo Swing

I don't hold out much hope about Jack's daughter H--- continuing with swing dance lessons. After dinner tonight, when I was getting ready to take her to class, she remembered (looked at the calendar?) that tonight was the parents' open house at her school. Previously we'd discussed having Jack go to this while we went to the Russian Center, but now she understandably wanted to go with him. So off they went!

I was slightly irked (the last-minute change in plans), and a bit disappointed. But I do think it's a good thing that Jack meets H---'s teachers and a few of her new school friends, so on the whole I was okay about it all.

We'll see if we bother to go to the last class in the series, this coming Thursday. I probably won't mention it; if she wants to go, then great!
