Cash and Carry

If cooking becomes an art form rather than a means of providing a reasonable diet, then something is clearly wrong.

Today I headed back to Fred Meyer in Ballard again, to exchange the stove drip pans I bought the other day. You know how they have two varieties of these: Non-GE, and GE? I could have sworn we had a non-GE stove, but I was wrong.

On the spur of th moment, I stopped at the Cash and Carry grocery discount place just because I was driving by. This place is aimed at restaurants and food service, definitely, but the general public can shop here also. I was inspired -- I'll do a mass pizza making session for the freezer! I can find the instructions at organized home.com.

I took longer than I should have at FM, looking once more for a reasonably priced duvet cover. I should just make my own! Two queen-size sheets and there you are. Chapstick for H----, since she said her lips were chapped the other day. I was hungry, so I bought a bag lunch; the bluecollar workers in the neighborhood must be the target market for this. A sub, bag of chips, and a can of soda, all for four bucks! Such a deal!

So I was late getting to Capitol Hill, and didn't write any entries here. But I do want to update more than once a week! We are very close to making it convenient to post from West Seattle. And I wouldn't feel that I was cutting myself off from other family members, since the office is just an ell off of the living room.
